Indiana Sports Photgrapher: CMA Tennis

Earlier this season, I photographed the CMA tennis team as they hosted Chesterton High School at Culver Academies’ Gable Tennis Complex. It was a beautiful day. The CMA Eagles played well. I’ve posted some photos here. Additional photos are located at:

High School Football Photos: Culver Academies vs. Tippecanoe Valley

Sorry everyone. I just realized how far behind on getting entires posted I am. Have patience with me as I attempt to get caught up over the next week.

Last month, I photographed the first home game of the CMA varsity football team as they played their at Oliver Field. It was a beautiful evening, not too hot, not too cold, as Culver Academies hosted Tippecanoe Valley. Culver played well, easily winning 22 to 8. I’ve posted some photos here. Family Photo Session: Shiller Family

This sumer, we had the chance to get pictures of some Woodcrafters who are the sons and daughter of a Culver Military Academy graduate who was at Culver when we were. These three kids were an absolute blast to work with, as they had so many ideas for shots. And, like siblings that age, they were funny about who stood next to whom and who got to come up with the next shot, and so on. Ginny and I enjoyed working with them.

Family Photo Session: Elliot Family

This past summer, we met up with one of our favorite Culver families, the Elliots. Last time we worked with them, we took daughter Kirstin’s senior photos. We were a little rushed to get in some family shots, but we managed. We walked along the lake on Culver Academies campus to get the pictures.

Destination Wedding Photographer: Fort Lauderdale

One of our favorite people, Lyndsey, got married to a great guy (Brandon) this past July. Lyndsey and Brandon got married in Florida, so Ginny and I traveled down there for their beach wedding. It was a hot, hot day, but the beach was a great place for the wedding. When Lyndsey came “down the aisle,” all these people on the beach started to clap. Though the beach was crowded, we shot some pictures on it. One of our favorite locations was the lifeguard on duty stand. It had that Titanic look and was a creative way to get some photos. We enjoyed the wedding, as Lyndsey is special to us. We look forward to seeing her and Brandon build their life together.

Culver Indiana Wedding Photographer: Broadstreet Wedding

This summer, we photographed the wedding of Ryan and Jessie. They were married here in Culver. The ceremony was right in front of the lake. Jessie was all smiles all day. She and Ryan were so easy to work with and as kind as they are in love. We had a great time with them and their families. Here are a handful of pictures from that day. All are unedited, raw files.

Culver Academy Senior Photos: Morgan Pegg

DSC_0844

Last week, Ginny and I went to campus to shoot Morgan Pegg’s senior pictures. Morgan had some great ideas for shots that we hadn’t done before, so we had a good time working with her on this shoot. Morgan was a natural in front of the camera. We will miss seeing her parents around Culver and wish Morgan all the best for her future.

CMA Varsity Baseball vs. Triton High School

Earlier this week, the CMA Varsity Baseball team played their last home baseball game of the season against Triton High School. Culver Academy continued their winning season with a win of 10-to-1.

Culver Academy Honor Organizations

Last weekend, as part of Culver’s Reunion Weekend, the CMA and CGA Honor Organizations performed at the recently renovated Riding Hall. As one would expect this late in the year, all the groups looked and performed very well.

Culver Academy Reunion Weekend: Garrison Parade

On Saturday afternoon of Culver’s Reunion Weekend, Culver held a Garrison Parade, which includes the returning alumni. This year, unfortunately, the parade happened in the rain on a soggy field. With some uncertainty about whether or not the parade would happen and some earlier events falling behind schedule, things were a little disorganized, but you could tell the returning classes had a great time. This was also the parade at which the parade field was dedicated to Mr. Jim Henderson. It was a nice ceremony and appropriate for the class of ’86 that had returned for its 25-year reunion, as Mr. Henderson was the honored speaker at 86′s graduation. I know this because Ginny was one of the returning members. She enjoyed the entire weekend.
