CMA Football Sectionals vs. South Bend’s St. Joseph

A few weekends ago, Culver Academies varsity football played their second Sectional game against South Bend St. Joseph. The Eagles fought hard and held their own for the first half of the game. At one point, Culver Academies led the game. At some point though, mistakes were made and South Bend got into their groove. I’ve posted some photos here. CMA Varsity Football vs. Knox

I’m posting these pictures late, but the CMA football team played so well at their first sectional game that I think you’ll agree that it’s better late than never. Ginny and I shot this game on a cold night, and what was the most fun was being on the sidelines with the team, as they really seemed to bond as a team. All of the players were upbeat throughout the game, encouraging each other and playing as if they knew they were going to win. It was a fun game. The final score was 44-12 with the Eagles being the victors.

CMA Varsity Football vs. Sheridan

What a fun football game the Friday night CMA Varsity football game was against Sheridan High School. It was Senior Night where they recognize the football and cheerleader seniors. The Spirit of Culver looked great. The CMA Drill Team performed during halftime. The weather was nice and wasn’t too hot or too cold. It was a great evening, a fun night, and a day that we were all proud to be an Eagle.

Culver Academy dominated the game, easily winning 42-21. As always, I took photos of EVERYTHING. I’ve posted some of my favorites here. Other photos are located at:

High School Football Photos: Culver Academies vs. Tippecanoe Valley

Sorry everyone. I just realized how far behind on getting entires posted I am. Have patience with me as I attempt to get caught up over the next week.

Last month, I photographed the first home game of the CMA varsity football team as they played their at Oliver Field. It was a beautiful evening, not too hot, not too cold, as Culver Academies hosted Tippecanoe Valley. Culver played well, easily winning 22 to 8. I’ve posted some photos here. Indiana Sports Photographer: CMA Football vs. Fairfield

On Friday night, the Culver Academy Eagles proved that you can’t always believe what people say about a team. The statistics, the newspapers, and the general consensus were that Culver couldn’t win their Varsity Football game against Fairfield High School. Fortunately for Culver’s sake, no one affiliated with the CMA football program paid attention to the speculation. Playing against a much larger squad with a better record, the Culver Eagles showed up to play. And play they did! Culver played their hearts out and Fairfield was the team that made some crutial mistakes that lead Culver to an easy win. The final score was Culver- 40 and Fairfield- 13. I’ve posted some photos here. Other photos are located at:

Indiana Sports Photography: CMA Varsity Football vs. Churubusco

Saturday was a beautiful afternoon for a football game . The CMA Eagles played their hearts out against the undefeated team from Churubusco High School and led most of the game much to the surprise of the players and fans on the opposing team. I’m not sure if it was the energy of a home game during Parent’s Weekend or the fact that it was a daytime game, but I’ve never seen a team come together as a team as they did. Unfortunately, the momentum changed for the Eagles during the fourth quater. Churubusco scored two touchdowns and took the victory. Still, I think the Eagles played their best of the season, and I look forward to seeing them continue to grow as a team. I’ve posted some photos here. Other are located at:

Indiana Sports Photography: CCHS Varsity Football vs. Jimstown

Friday Night Football at its finest! Last night I photographed the Culver Cavaliers as their Varsity team played against Jimtown High School in Culver, Indiana.  It was a great game to watch and CCHS played extremely well considering their team appeared to have about half the number of players as Jimtown. Watching the game, the score could have gone either way as there was’nt a dominant team. Unfortunately, Culver Community couldn’t pull out the win. The final score: Culver-14 Jimtown- 21. Great effort, Culver. You worked hard and it’s obvious why you are having such a successful season! I’ve posted some photos here. Other photos are located at:

Indiana Sports Photography: CMA Eagles Varsity Football vs. John Glenn High School

Fall is here! At least that is how it felt at Friday’s football game on Culver Academy’s campus as the CMA Eagles played a varsity game against John Glenn High School. The weather was cooler with a breeze and the sun set earlier than previous weeks. Unfortunately, playing at home and having a cooler evening did not help Culver as they played a tough opponent who has had a great season. John Glenn has shut out their competetion the past 4 weeks and played similiarly on Friday. Culver played well but made a few mistakes that resulted in a score gap that could not be overcome. I’ve posted a few photos here. Other pictures are located at:

Indiana Sports Photography: CMA Varsity Football vs. North Judson

Last night, the Culver Academy Eagles Varsity Football Team hosted North Judson High School for a home game on Culver Academy’s campus. North Judson proved to be a tough opponent who lead most of the game. In an exciting second half, Culver’s offense scored and put Culver within a touchdown of North Judson. Meanwhile, Culver’s defense did a fantastic job of holding North Judson and keeping them from advancing their lead. In the last couple minutes of the game, CMA scored and took the lead, which they held for the remainder of the game. The final score was Culver 20, North Judson 19.

For those that might be curious, I’ve chosen to lead this blog entry off with a photo of Culver’s Eagle mascot as last night was the mascot’s birthday. This co-ed suits up the Eagle custume each week. Happy Birthday Emily!

Culver Academy Football Photos: CMA Sectional Victory over New Prairie

The CMA Eagles won their Sectional Championship game! And what a game it was. The Eagles shut out New Prairie for a 14-0 win. All of the Culver Eagles’ points came in the first quarter making the other three quarters an intense game. As you can see in the pictures, it was a rainy, muddy game. The defensive team had one of the best games of the season. At least three times, they held the other team from scoring when they were within 15 yards of the goal line. Each time New Prairie tried for the fourth down score or first down, the defense stopped them. The defense has held the other teams scoreless in tournament play. If they continue to do so, we’ll go all the way!

Ginny and I enjoyed taking the photographs of this football team all season, and we are thrilled we got to photograph their victory in the Sectionals. Go Eagles! For more photos, you can visit www.culverphotos.com. There are over 500 photographs uploading there. It will take 24 hours for the photos to upload, but by end of weekend, you can see what an exciting game this one was.
