Indiana Sports Photography: CMA Varsity Soccer vs. Argos High School

In the second game of the evening, the Culver Varsity Soccer Team played Argos High School at Culver Academies. The CMA Eagles played well, but some struggles in the first half put them too far behind to overcome Argos in the second half. With a couple of scores late in the second half, Culver showed promise and heart. The final score was Culver-2 Argos-3. I’ve posted some photos here. Others are located at:

Indiana Sports Photographer: CCHS Girl’s Varsity Soccer vs. Westville

Yesterday afternoon, after the boy’s soccer game, the CCHS girl’s varsity soccer team hosted Westville High School in Culver. Due to dimming light and a prior engagment, I was unable to stay for the entire game. I was able though to watch 60 of the 80 minutes of game play. From what I did see, the girls of Culver played extremely well and were headed for an easy win. (When I left, the score was 5-to-0 and 80% of the play was on Westville’s goal end.)

Indiana Sports Photographer: CCHS Boy’s Varsity Soccer vs. Argos High School

Two days ago, I photographed the Culver Community High School Cavaliers Boy’s Varsity Soccer Team as they played Argos High School at Culver. I’ve been told that this is normally a huge rivalry game that has resulted in some fan and spectator problems in the past. Luckily, this was not the case last night. The game started with CCHS scoring an exciting and tying goal that ended the first half with a score of 1-to-1. Unfortunately, the final score was Culver-1, Argos-4, as Argos rallied in the second half. Both teams played hard. I think the Culver team has a lot of potential and a couple of great coaches. I hope to photograph them again.

Indiana Sports Photography: CCHS Girls Varsity Soccer vs. John Glenn

A few evenings ago, the Culver Community High School girls varsity soccer team hosted John Glenn High School. It was a great game with both schools being very evenly matched. Unfortunately, the girls of CCHS allowed a goal early in the game that they could never get back. The final score was Culver- 1, John Glenn- 2. I’ve posted some photos here. The other day, I attended the CMA Varsity soccer game as they played against the CCHS team at Culver Community High School. Unfortunately, I was at the game only about 15 minutes before the weather changed and it started a severe downpour. As there was no lightning, the game continued but there was too much rain to get decent photos and I decided to leave to protect my gear. I’ve posted some photos here. A few days ago, I shot the CGA girl’s JV and Varsity soccer teams as they hosted the teams from Concord High School at Culver Academies. All the teams played well, but ultimately both the JV and Varsity teams from Concord were victorious. I’ve posted some photos here. Others are located at:

Indiana Sports Photographer: Busy Afternoon

Yesterday was a busy afternoon for sports on Culver Academy’s campus with three home games scheduled. The afternoon started off cloudy, but things cleared and all the games were played. The first event was a JV tennis match against LaPort LaLumiere. The men’s JV soccer team played next against Chesterton High School, and it was followed by the CMA varsity soccer game against Chesterton.

All of the teams played well. The JV soccer team won by two goals, and the varisty soccer team lost by two goals. The Chesterton soocer team is a good opponent for Culver as both the JV and Varsity teams were well matched with no clearly dominant team. The final scores could have easily gone the opposite way.

Culver Academy Soccer Photos: CGA Varsity Soccer vs. West Lafayette

Today was a beautiful day to watch the CGA varsity girl’s soccer team play at Culver Academy. As the day progressed, the temperature rose and I felt sorry for the girls. It was hot just taking pictures. I could only imagine how the girls felt running around in the heat.

The lady Eagles played an excellent game that was quite exciting to watch. From what I saw, both teams were evenly matched with no clear dominate team. I found myself staying in the middle of the filed as there was great action happening on both ends of the field. I’m not sure what the final score ended up being. (I shot three soccer games today.) But, whichever team won, I’m sure it was hard fought.

Culver Academy Soccer Photos: CMA Varsity Soccer vs. Concord High School

The CMA varsity soccer team played another home game at Culver Academy this afternoon against Concord High School. It was a great game to watch, but unfortunately Culver Academy lost 0-3.
