After the dust from a busy Graduation Weekend settled, Ginny and I had the opportunity to photograph Culver Girls Academies senior Carina before she went home to Florida. Carina is a beautiful subject. We wish her the best of luck in her future. We are certain it’s going to be filled with many achievements.

Culver Academies Graduation- Arch Ceremony

Over Culver’s Graduation Weekend, I photograpghed many different events. The weekend ended with the Graduation Ceremony, which includes the Arch Ceremony for the graduating CGA co-eds. Culver Academy Senior Night Photos

This Spring, as I’ve done previous years, I photographed the Culver Academies seniors before their annual Senior Dinner Dance. For me, this is a very informal, casual, and fun event that I like covering as I’ve gotten to know many of the students over the years photographing their senior sessions, portrait sessions, and various sports. It is also one of the last times that I get to see the kids in a fun setting before they walk through the Gate or Arch when they aren’t running 16 different directions. Culver Academies Fencing Invitational

This past weekend, the CMA and CGA fencing teams hosted their annual fencing invitational, which brings several hundred kids attend from all over the Midwest to Culver. For this event, the Culver Academies’ Gymnasium is turned into a massive fencing arena with over 40 fencing “slips” set up in different areas so that 80-90 kids can compete simultaneously. It was a madhouse to try and track and locate the Academies’ students as every competitor essentially wears the same uniform. To make matters more difficult, some of the students had protective gear that covered their Culver Academy patch. I had a hard time ensuring that I was following the correct students.

CGA Polo vs. Atlanta

This past Friday night, I ventured out in the snow and cold to watch the CGA Polo Team as they hosted a polo team from Atlanta. The CGA girls played hard, but they were a little outmatched by the team from Atlanta. Though CGA lost, the game was still fun to watch as there was lot of action and excitement.

Fencing: Junior Olympic Qualifier
